Curlec is the only payments company in Malaysia that aims to help businesses in
Malaysia control their money movement seamlessly with its wide product suite.
Having started in the recurring payment business, Curlec has expanded into other
payments and software services such as Real-Time Payouts and Subscription Billing.
Curlec was recently acquired by Razorpay, the largest online payments and
neobanking platform for businesses in India, to help enter and scale its business in
Southeast Asia. Razorpay serves over 8 million businesses and is backed by some of
the world’s marquee investors that include Sequoia Capital, Tiger Global, Mastercard
and TCV, and was part of the prestigious Silicon Valley tech accelerator, Y Combinator.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing and growing the relationship of some of the
company’s most important clients. You will also have to identify and secure new large
enterprise clients across our target industries to build long-term strategic
partnerships. This will be done via your own initiative, with support from our
Marketing and wider Sales teams.
You’ll work to uncover and define the best growth opportunities for Curlec, including
new customers, new industries and new sales strategies. The role would also involve
working closely with our banking partners as you collaborate to close new deals. The
ideal candidate will be adept in building strong relationships, identifying needs and
finding solutions, as well as excel at communicating in person, over the phone, via
email, and across teams.
Requirements
An entrepreneurial mind-set with a drive to succeed
Experience working in a Technology/SaaS sales environment
Experience with corporate relationship management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience of articulating the business benefits of selling technical products
A structured sales approach to navigate complex businesses
Experience putting together and presenting proposals to key decision makers
Interest in the Malaysian payments and technology space
3 - 6 years of experience in a sales/relationship management role (Banking,
Technology or FinTech startup space)
Comfortable working both alone and in teams
Experience prioritising between multiple important and urgent tasks
Put your customers first and ensure their needs are at the forefront of our
efforts
Fluency in Malay and/or Mandarin is desirable
