About Us

Curlec is the only payments company in Malaysia that aims to help businesses in Malaysia control their money movement seamlessly with its wide product suite. Having started in the recurring payment business, Curlec has expanded into other payments and software services such as Real-Time Payouts and Subscription Billing.

Curlec was recently acquired by Razorpay, the largest online payments and neobanking platform for businesses in India, to help enter and scale its business in Southeast Asia. Razorpay serves over 8 million businesses and is backed by some of the world’s marquee investors that include Sequoia Capital, Tiger Global, Mastercard and TCV, and was part of the prestigious Silicon Valley tech accelerator, Y Combinator.

Your Responsibilities

  • Be involved and drive product & design discussions.
  • Help us scale our payment infrastructure to get every business to pay online.
  • Help us make decisions to shape our REST APIs for developers worldwide.
  • Contribute to open source as we set the standards for mobile payments.
  • And, most importantly, brainstorm and create new directions that can take in our quest to make online payments easy and accessible to all.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Technology.
  • A strong product design sense.
  • Good experience in working with any of the programming languages like PHP, Python, Django, Golang, Java, C++
  • Understand end user requirements, formulate use cases and come up with effective solutions.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs and the web in general.
  • Ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion.
  • A willingness to learn new technology, whatever lets you deliver the best product.
Apart from these, we also expect the following, but we accept that you can be an absolutely great developer without fulfilling the below. So go ahead and apply even if the following aren’t applicable.

  • Have a few weekend side-projects up on GitHub
  • Have contributed to an open source project
  • Have worked at a product company
  • Have working knowledge of PHP
  • Have working knowledge of multiple programming languages
